Wow,

I have been wanting to do a "search" on Vance Masters as I saw him (and his band)in the 60's in McCreary, Manitoba and thought he was so so cute. Got him to sign my arm in pen and then I took a piece of tape and removed his name and put the tape/ink in my scrapbook that of which I still have. I never forgot him or the band. Awesome website and story. Too bad I wasn't in Wpg. for the reunion concert. Would have been just wonderful. Vance, you are as cute now as you were then. Take care, God Bless and thanks for bringing so much great music to Manitoba and the world in general.

Hugs, Bonny:)

Love the website. It's been a long time since I've seen my good friends Vance and Brian Seller. It's also been a long time since I met Don McDougle.  But the music these guys wrote and played had such an impact on the music we heard through the decades and the music we hear now.
Good on ya guys.

Hope to see you when I'm in the Peg Vance.

Take care.

Hey Vance, just came across your website. It brought back great memories. I remember watching you many many years ago when I was a young drummer (a bit younger than you) and I was always impressed with your impeccable timing and cleanliness (in your style of play). All the best ...

Vance; I remember you joining us at a table at the Westminster Hotel between St Silver sets, and giving us an impromptu lesson on your project du jour: changing drum pitch while performing by regulating the amount of air via plastic tubing....I think the lesson cost us a few draft, but the memory is a lovely one, and very affordable, at two bits a glass!!
Rock on!

Wow!! Thanks for the history lesson. I saw Kurt and Bill play at the Corral in Calgary with Burton, Donnie and Gary.
I saw Vance play years ago in Winnipeg.

Hello Vance,

My Mother and I were just talking about the Guess Who and what a pleasure it was jamming in the basement with you many moons ago.

My Father still tells me great stories of the "real rock and roll era".  I have since kept all of the albums he has passed on to me. I hope to pass these timeless songs on to my son one day.

Long live the music .... Darren Kozak

Hi Vance, great web page enjoyed the read, and a nice job by Bev.
I'll be sure to check out the reunion on the 14th. Should be a blast. It was good seeing all the old (young) faces again.
Cheers.

Hi Vance,
You may not remember me, but I was one of your proteges back in the 60's. I used to follow you and The Crescendos around and try to learn to play drums with as much style and innovation as you. No one played as creatively as you, especially after your return from England. You were also a very kind and generous teacher which I discovered when you invited me to your house in the North End for lessons.

I'm still playing drums and teaching at the age of 56 and can thank you for the inspiration and continued devotion to playing the best of instruments, the drums.

Thanks for the memories,
Hilary

Hi Vance, I'm looking forward to getting "The Brother cd." AS far as I'm concerned Kurt Winter was The Guess Who's best guitarist. Eric Clapton was a fan! One of my most memorable moments was meeting Donnie's Guess Who in Montreal years ago. You guys were super nice!  Still my favorite band today, "The Guess Who."  We all miss Kurt.  His solos are still awesome today.  "Pain Train," "Hand Me Down World" "Rain Dance.."

Vance please sign my cd.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and the family.
