Guest Books
were a staple back in the 90s when this site was
first launched. Security and privacy
issues, coupled with the advent of social media,
have made them obsolete. We have, however,
preserved the comments from over the years ...
just so many, many fond memories too precious to
lose. Particularly poignant are the words
left by those who are no longer with us.
Most recent comments appear first.

On another note I
should mention that I went through the
website with my 10 year old grandson
last night and gave him a running
history of my music in Winnipeg and
all you amazing talented people.
We traveled back with the help of
You-tube listening to all the music
that basically shaped me into what I
am now. What a fun night and now
another generation knows what you guys
and ladies gave to us and that you
were all the guys next door, so to
speak. Maybe somewhere inside
that little person a little bit of
inspiration might have been sparked.
Thank you for getting back to me
Vance, I feel like I got a thank-you
out that I needed to for many years
and once again,Thanks for the music!
Stay well and all our best to you and
your family.

Jumped in the car
this morning and flipped on XM and
Hello Stranger by Barbara Lewis was on
... BAM!! Flashback to the
St.James Civic Center and I think the
very first time the 5A.M. Event played
after returning from England. I
can still hear you guys playing this
and I was in awe of the creativity and
how cool you made the evening. (the
boys and I were fans of the Crescendos
and couldn't wait to hear you ...
Terry's Mom was my teacher earlier and
kept us up to date)
I've been following all the wonderful
things from those days that made the
Winnipeg music scene including and
always Jr.Barnes and the Cadillacs.
Having lived in many parts of the
world and experienced so many things,
none of it would have happened without
the music I was lucky enough to have
grown up with. I humbly thank you for
allowing the music and memories to
come along.
Thanx for the wonderful music and
memories. Stay safe.
Don Fushtey.

Here's the back of
a photo that was autographed for my
sister by The Fifth in Regina,
probably 1968. Thought it might be of
interest to you.
