- five of Winnipeg's most experienced and
talented musicians come together to film a video
for a CBC music competition. And a brand
new band, formed from the bonds of a
decades-long friendship and respect,
emerged. They went under the name of Yogi
& The Forgiven for a short time before
reverting back to Yogi & Friends.
Yogi Klos, a classically
trained violinist, was called the best kept
secret in the Canadian music industry. A
master fiddler, he spent over 4 decades playing
everywhere from local hotels in Winnipeg to
touring Europe and ultimately, appearing at The
Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Sadly, Yogi's passing on
May 20, 2013 left a huge void in Winnipeg's
music community, both personally and
professionally.
